Farmers Receive Goats

Farmers in Kyangwali Hoima in the western part of Uganda received Boar goats from Action Africa Help Uganda.

AAH Uganda in partnership with European Union is implementing a livelihoods project with the main objective being Enhancing Local Capacities for Self-Reliance in Kyangwali (Hoima District), Bweyale and Mutunda (Kiryandongo District) areas in Uganda.


Women Groups Training in South Sudan

Action Africa Help through its capacity building project (CAPOR) has finished a three days workshop for four women groups in Otogo Payam on Smallbusiness empowerment skills.

The three day training during the beginning of august 2012 was attended by 20 participants from Ombasi Boma, Morsak Boma, Logo Boma and Kegulu respectively.


AAH Kenya leads a countrywide health costing survey

At the beginning of this year, AAH-I teamed up with the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) based at the University of Washington in the US, to implement a research project looking into costs and constraints surrounding health service delivery in Kenya. This project is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and is being coordinated by the AAH Kenya country programme.


AAH-I Celebrates World Refugee Day

Action Africa Help International had several reasons to take part in the World Refugee Day on June 20th, 2012. AAH Uganda and Zambia joined the global community in remembrance and respect of the disadvantaged persons who have been displaced from their countries of origin (refugees) due to war and conflict.


Lives Saved Through Local Clinics

Although AAHI has been working in South Sudan’s health sector since the 1980’s, a recent three-year contract with the Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) through the Regional Healthcare Programme, has increased support to the fledging health care system in Yei and Morobo Counties in Central Equatorial State.
