AAH South Sudan is looking for a qualified applicant to fill the position of Procurement Coordinator. 


Under the overall leadership of the Country Director, the Procurement Coordinator will be in charge of delivering  quality goods and services in a timely, cost effective manner to AAH-I South Sudan Projects and take an active lead in coordinating and communicating with AAH-I South Sudan supply chain; he/she will support the Country Programme by establishing, tracking and reporting on progress, key internal and external supplier performance metrics; manage work efforts across planning, strategic sourcing, categories management, including internal customer alignment and satisfaction, supplier relationship management, contract management, risk management and project management. 



  1. Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management; Stores Management and/or a related field of study.
  2. Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies qualification is an added advantage.
  3. At least 8 years’ experience in procurement with at least four years in a management/head of department position.

AAH Somalia is looking for a Country Programme Manager (CPM). The CPM has the overall responsibility for effectively and efficiently managing AAH-I Somalia in building strategic partnerships, resource mobilisation, advocacy, leadership and management to contribute to AAH-I’s Mission and Vision.


Expected Outcomes

  1. A Country Strategy and Plan is developed in line with the overall AAH-I Strategic Plan; this is implemented and regularly monitored.
  2. Institutional and project annual and quarterly operational plans are developed, updated and followed.
  3. AAH-I’s institutional policies, systems and procedures are followed.
  4. Monthly Somalia Management Team and Project/Programme Management Team meetings are held to ensure that work at programme and project level is on track, that budgets are followed, that managers are provided with the support they need and that key issues and risks are identified and managed appropriately.
  5. AAH-I is visible and networked into key humanitarian and development debates affecting Somalia and has effective partnerships with lead players in Somalia.
  6. The Country Programme has set up finance management and HR systems in compliance with AAH-I guidelines, and locally applicable laws and procedures and financial management and reporting meets donor requirements
  7. Programme and project monitoring and evaluation (based on programme and project indicators) is regularly carried out, and timely reporting (monthly, quarterly and annual) to the Directorate, the International Board, donors, and important stakeholders is ensured.
  8. Appropriate programme documentation and reporting systems are further developed and implemented.
  9. In-country contacts with existing donors and potential new donors are maintained/explored and funding proposals in support of existing and/or new projects are developed in consultation with the Directorate.


Professional qualifications

A Master’s degree in the social sciences with significant experience in either humanitarian relief, public health or development projects management.
