Kenya
AAH-Kenya is building climate resilience across communities through innovative environmental programs, but the majority of our impact stems from deep partnerships with local governments and grassroots mobilization.
All our environmental initiatives in Kenya focus on scalable impact as necessary, making this comprehensive approach to carbon reduction and land management the first of its kind in the region.

The Enkima Cook-stove Project, implemented by AAH-I in partnership with Ecoact, distributed 24,676 improved cook-stoves across four constituencies in Narok County. By offering the stoves at a subsidized cost of Ksh 100, the project directly benefits over 146,000 individuals through reduced indoor air pollution and health improvements. It also achieves significant environmental impact by reducing 60,000 tCO₂ annually and slowing deforestation in the region.
Entooma Sidai is a Maasai Mara Range-land Restoration and Conservation Project. It target the restoration of approximately 650,000 hectares of degraded grasslands in Narok County, Kenya. The Project will be developed using the Verified Carbon Standard’s (VCS) VM0032 Methodology for the Adoption of Sustainable Grasslands through Adjustment of Fire and Grazing.
